Day 4
Everyone was good and tired after a day of sun and adrenaline rushes so we all slept in as long as possible, then we packed up and headed out under a dark and cloudy sky to the St. Louis Zoo. It was raining by the time we got there but we were not to be discouraged. We only had about an hour to do a walk around, but that was enough time to see some, never before seen, animals as well as the 'must sees' like reptiles, monkeys, and 'lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!' After that we jumped back into the vans and started the final leg of our journey. About 4 hours later we arrived at Warrensburg, MO and began the whole check-in process. It was fun to watch the kids that experienced this for the first time. Lots of jitters and excitement. After check in we were all ready to check out for the night. The campus and rooms are very nice. The weather is hot, humid, and very sticky. Thank God the dorms are air conditioned! One praise we have is that Drew and Bobby started to notice a vibration on the van when we were about 18 miles from Warrensburg, so they pulled over and found that the front tire was missing a bolt and all the others were coming loose as well. Drew was able to tighten them down and finish the trip. We will be getting that checked before we leave for home, but we thank God for His protection and you for your prayers. God is good. We know we will have a great week with His presence.
